Photo Sharing Glitch?

I've been having problems posting my images in bulletin boards lately. They frequently (but not always) show as the dreaded red X. At times, some readers see the images with no problem, while others can't. I've even made some of the posted images into links back to the gallery, but clicking it sometimes returns a "page could not be found" error which clears with a refresh.

No idea if this problem is on the forum end or SmugMug's end...but my previous image storage service works just fine. Anyone have any insight?

    Hi PetersCreek,

Can you give me some example links to check out for you? The actual links you are using, and the gallery that the photos are in. And your site name nickname.smugmug.com - all this is info I'll need to help you :D

Sharing in forums, blogs, by email, it works wonderfully -- but there are a couple "gotchas" - the image must be in a gallery where external links are allowed - this is the most common reason for the "red x"

Looking forward to some more info, so I can help you :D

    Cheers.

Thanks, Andy. It was a gotcha, all right. The troublesome photos were in the only gallery that had external links disabled, for some reason. Good call.
