New lens = Annoyed Models

I received my new-to-me Nikkor AF 35-70mm f2.8 lens. I am hoping it proves to be a nice versatile portrait lens. Below are a few test shots of two of my clan. I didn't take the time to pull out lights, but need to. I am trying to figure out some young girl full frame posses before I do some work for a friend. All comments are welcome.
