It there a softbox/umbrella-softbox solution for both photography and videography?

I would like to utilize the spftbox for photography and videography when needed. The umbrella-softbox/softbox need to be able to handle heat, of course!

What are my options?

Thanks!

Pretty much any continuous lighting setup can be used for both video and stills and there are tons of solutions out there. Search for "continuous lighting" on Amazon and go with something that looks appropriate and has good reviews.

I have quality soft boxes and I am afraid they would create a fire hazard if I put hot video light in them....So the key is "continous light"! Thanks!

Your only option is either LED or florescent if you want to avoid heat. I seen Peter Hurley came out with his own brand of continuous lights that look a lot like Kenoflows.

    second to Gary752

I have also been on a set, where I saw a dp uses a LED and soften it with an umbrella.

i suggest checking out led lights by yongnuo

they are cheap and portable with a strong output
