Here, on the last day of October, we got an uncommon and beautiful sky-show in our area...

This one is with the Rokinon 14mm 2.8 prime - still trying to dial it in...

This one is with the EF 50mm 1.4 prime... it's tack sharp. The furthest hills are in Mexico.
Both with 5D Mk3

Good drama in the clouds, I like the first one better. Nice lens!

The first one especially is very dramatic, but both are nice!

Very nice, Eric. I'm also a fan of the wider shot.

If you ever figure out how to nail infinity with the Rokinon 14mm, please let me know. I like that lens a lot but mine lets me focus past infinity and the infinity mark is not accurate.

Wow! I just love that first one! You are fortunate to have such wonderful skies. Great job capturing that beauty.

That's good to hear Tango, as that's always a goal in this type of image!

Yes, I got this lens recently and it's going to take some practice and (as I found-out) note taking, to learn the darn thing.
I wasn't entirely unhappy with the edge-to-edge sharpness on this image, but, it was the best of a series at different settings... none of which I could remember at processing... I think I've gotten soft with the EF system... :D
I'll send my results when I complete some more daylight test-shots, Bryan thumb.gif

The color contrast in the sky in no 1 is very nice.
