Can't Change Style - IE6

I have a problem when calling my site via its alias. When using Firefox I can change styles with no problem. When using IE6 I am stuck in Smugmug Small. I have tried clearing the browser cache using delete cookies and delete files and I have tried logged in and logged out all to no avail. I have tried another computer with the same results. It all works fine when using the direct address.

My Domain provider doesn't support cnames, so I have pointed the domain to nameservers at ZoneEdit which does support cnames

I expect I have messed up somewhere:dunno

Can anyone offer some suggestions please?

Thanks

Gary

    Strange

It's probably a multi-level TLD issue - and IE6 - when viewing your site in Firefox, via www.naturaleye.co.uk , I can swap styles no problem. I can't change in Safari or IE6. So the behavior is validated.

I don't know what, if any, the fix is. We support single-level TLDs right now (like .com, .net, .org) - we'd like to have multi-level TLDs supported but it's not something we've got right now - and I hve no promise on if/when.

Thanks for laying this out for us - I wish I had a better answer.

Thanks Andy. Sorry - I don't know what a TLD is. Presumably this normally works so if I transferred the domain to a provider that supported cnames it would work correctly?, or is it because its a .co.uk address?

    Hi Gary,

A TLD (top level domain) is .com, .net, .org... etc. Domains like .co.uk or .co.au are causing a problem with our cookies right now. I know the engineers are looking into it, but unfortunate I have no idea on the status of any bug fix. Sorry!

It's on the radar, yes. But there's no promise on if/when. You visitors can see all your images that you make availalbe - Ti, Th, S, M, L, O. They can't change viewing style because of the multi part tld issue - so you can always ask them to visit nickname.smugmug.com instead.

Or, since you arent' using our cart, why not just forward your .co.uk name to your smugmug name - then they'll have all the functions. WE DON'T recommend forwarding because of cart issues and gallery password issues but in this case, it may work just fine. Easy to try :D

Thanks Andy. I have the cart switched on in the favourites gallery so I guess I will just have to wait patiently...
