Makena Beach, Maui

Last night we enjoyed a sunset at one of our favorite beaches on Maui; Big Beach, Makena. These are multi-image pano stitches, shot with a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle...aka-drone).

#2 - For this image, I had to fly the UAV out about 2,000ft off the beach. They tell me it can go 3 miles, but I can't see it past 1 mile. I might try once the new light kit arrives (3mi visibility).

I really like the first photo. The reflections of the colors in the sky make it special.

I love the reflections as well, Denise! As soon as I saw them on the water, I said to Beth, "I gotta fly this!"

both are great -- the first looks like it could have been taken on top of a mountain and the colors, detail are terrific but for me the second is one of those views I could only wish to see.... Awesome! I bet that was fun!
