Found this dew covered wasp on my DIY sugar feeder the other morning.

Oh wow, that's a soaking. I'm surprised the hairs don't do a better job keeping it dry - would have thought there was something to the design to keep more water off or some electrostatic effect or something. Great photos too.

I think the hairs have done their job by keeping the drops off the body where they would have blocked the breathing spiracles.
