Black bars when posting 21:9 vimeo videos

Hi,

My videos on vimeo are set to 21:9 aspect ratio and doesn’t show the black bars on top and bottom on vimeo as well as when embedded to Facebook.
When I add the video to my website the black bars show.

Is there a way to fix this?

I am sorry but when you use the Video content block on SmugMug the black bars show and can not be removed. The bars are part of the content block itself.

Wow, this is very disappointing. It would be great if this could be addressed, as the video functionality is very aesthetically displeasing and therefore unusable.

I checked into this and it appears that this is currently the way the Vimeo content block works. If you'd like to see a change to this in a future update, you could consider checking out the SmugMug feedback page.
