Buying prints through the website

So if I sell prints through somewhere else(in person, on another website, etc) can I have them fulfilled through my smugmug website?

Essentially I want them sent through my Bay Photo with backprinting, branding etc, just like it would be if they purchased from my website. But I've already received money from them elsewhere and still need to ship.

I'm wondering if I can order the prints myself through my website(logged in so I get the cheaper price) but set the shipping address to my customer's address. Would this work? I'm wanting to make sure they don't get a receipt with the cheaper price, and that the order would be identical to what a customer would get if they ordered through the site.

Does anybody do anything like this?

You can use Bay Photo's "White Label Drop Ship Directly to Your Customers" https://www.bayphoto.com/shipping-policies/. In fact, some print sizes are actually cheaper if ordering directly from BayPhoto than from Smugmug.

I believe if you order through Smugmug it will always arrive to your address... with all the "cheap" prices spelled out on the invoice.

I'm pretty sure orders placed through your Smug site come without any prices - I would recommend checking with the help desk to be sure, http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/emails/new.

You can fulfill through your SmugMug site and have them drop shipped/sent directly to your customer. In the shopping cart there is a place to provide a different address for shipping. Unless it has recently changed (and I hope it hasn't changed because I've used SM to drop ship), as long as you don't put your customer's e-mail address on the order they will not receive an invoice or see your costs. Here is a thread from 2006 confirming this - http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=43050

That's correct - you as the account owner can make purchases through your SmugMug site and send them to your client's address. :) Be sure you are logged in so you don't pay your markup. During the shopping cart process, you can change the delivery address. Just be sure like mentioned, that you don't add your client's email address. Keep the email address in the order as your email so you receive the email notifications. All orders through SmugMug arrive with a packing slip but that never includes pricing information.
