We found this on a tree stump during a fungus foray at the weekend.
The bright orange, petal-like objects are extending growth.
The stereo is crosseye.
EM-1, Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro at f6.3 for the first and f11 for other closeups. Daylight. for first shot, others by twin flash, hand-held.

Not a great success at first upload. It refused to load my first image properly, posting it as a footnote.
Anyway, the site seems to now offer direct hosting from computers but will not accept an image address from another host site as an upload option.

Interesting stuff and lovely shots of it

Thanks, Brian.
I note that, unlike in the previous platform, we can now edit discussion titles. (I left the 'h' out of_ Phlebia_). There seems to be a bug in the italic feature.

Just a quick test of italics in response to your report of problems.
OK, it does work, but it's fiddly. I haven't found a way yet to select text then apply bold or italic. Instead, I have to hit the format button and type the text starting at where the cursor is. I think this is a bug and needs to be reported.
Thanks, Richard. I have reported it.
What really bothers me is that I can't post my images as I want to. Out of three new "discussions" since the changes, two have failed and I abandoned the third in disgust. I had no such problem with the old website. Having struggled with it, I have abandoned posting here.
well shot Harold
what is the problem posting images ?

Thanks, Phil,
Some images will not display wide open and are footnotes which have to be clicked on to view.
