LABs started it! I have been waiting patiently until I knew there would be great interest in the dog days of winter (you know dogs do have days in the winter, too). Last monday..................I broke my slump here:

Below: in shows one of the judging things is their "going" from the back. Wonder which would be best of show there.........

And thus did I break my slump. Skye practiced valuable herding skills! The "cow" got away, fortunately, or unfortunately. I sure would have hated to have to clean and dress that one. Especially with the "owner" looking on.

Thanks, LABS,
thanks anyone else for looking,

A comment would be fine. Or not. Or post your own "dog days" of winter, we LOVE them!

These were so completely done in Lab! Fast in, fast out! The black and white was converted from a LAB shot with a lousy color in the dunes. I like it best, almost, now.

ginger and cast (not forgetting the ever loyal Bill)
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

I also like the third one where the dogs hair is blowing backward. He (or she) is so cute! I forgot that dogs name.

Really great set. I like how you get down to their level. Great shooting.

Good shots, but I smiled when I saw the little dog getting a blow-dry on the third picture.

My favorite.....blowin in the wind. Can't go wrong with dogs and kids. Don't get me started with my dog Casper and the grandkids. Thanks for sharing your cute four legged friends.
