SF Bay Bridge Sunrise

Hi all. On Christmas morning, I headed into SF with my bud, Dgrin member Stumblebum, to catch the sunrise which was predicted to be a good one. I wouldn't call it epic, but we did score some nice color. We'd intended to hit a remote beach, but changed our mind when it looked to be fogged in. Instead we opted for the ever-popular Embarcadero view of the Bay Bridge which is a cinch to access. Here are a couple of shots.

Beautiful!
Before I clicked on the post I thought "gee, another bridge over the bay shot. This will be like the thousands of others". But WOW, what a special shot. Well done. Very well done. Thanks for restoring my faith in originality.
These are simply amazing!

Super captures...
I was in SF the night before Christmas eve trying to get night shots of the Embarcadero center lights
It was raining... what a nightmare attempt
Happy to see you had better luck
Beautiful!

Ha, thanks, Molson. I hear ya. Honestly we were both a bit bummed out to be shooting such a cliche' location, but we were out of time and needed a good comp quick. In fact Taz actually walked away to try to get something more original closer to the bridge. We'll have to wait and see if he'll post what he got.
Anyway, it just goes to show you that good light is everything.

Thanks, Tom
He cheated and simply posted them as images in his reply. Here are the URLs that he used.

"Anyway, it just goes to show you that good light is everything.' Pretty much, which is unfortunate, since it's difficult to come by.

Killer shots both K-dog! Wish I had stayed at same spot! ;o)
Cheers!
That's what makes it special though.
Thanks, man. Great hanging with you as always. I'd feel sorry that you missed out on this POV if I didn't know you already have better shots from there taken on different days.

The moderators have a small room (about the size of a closet) next to our new Vanilla Moderator's break room that holds many of our old smilies. We hope to start a sort of museum.

Jaw dropping, especially the first one. The color bouncing off the wood in the water is awesome. WowZer!

Thank you, AnnaMaria. Funny, I processed that second one first and almost didn't bother processing the early ones because of lack of color. I'm glad I did though and am having a hard time choosing between the two myself now.
