Woke up 3 hrs before sunrise to drive to Pt. Reyes for landscapes.....light and elements did not line up...so immediately speeded towards Tule Elk Reserve.....luckily found bunch of them but only 2 young ones that lined up with the light.....
I drove back and forth on the road to keep them cornered for about 3-4 minutes before they ran off.....

    Gulp!

5, 6 and 8 deserve to be on the walls of the L.L. Bean headquarters in Freeport, ME, and at 10 foot sizes.

Lovely! Getting up early really paid off, even if this was not the subject you intended to shoot. I applaud your quick thinking to save the day. Since you have so many great shots, I would drop #4 where the poor guy is missing a leg. Beautiful series.

Thanks kindly Bryan! My comp was facing East and there were no clouds that way.....so lucky to find them with pink hue facing west, along with the Elks! Cheers and Happy Holidays!

I can see why you wanted to capture the light. It's terrific. The last is my favorite composition.
