Odd results using html for 'about me' page

Hey all,
I have a question. I have my site setup pretty consistently. however for my 'about me' page I have a ton of html, the reason is that I'm writing everything in word and then converting to an html doc and then copy/pasting to the html section - I know it creates a ton of extraneous code but so far this works great, with the exception of it overriding some of the css, primarily the underlines. It does not seem to be the limited CSS that I use for the tabs, but rather the HTML that is causing the problem. any help would be appreciated.

Using Word isn't really a good idea. Looks like it's adding this on your About page:
Remove it.
Just to add,..
The old SmugMug was almost necessary to use the
!important
tag. The new SM is much easier to customize. I would say if you need to add the!important
tag, you've done "something wrong". I have a lot of extra CSS and I've only had to add that on a couple of sections.Images in the Backcountry

Thanks Mike, Sadly alot of my code is either from other sites, or hacked together. I am learning, and as such am realizing how much nonsense I have (duplication). I really appreciate your input.
question though: why would the html override the css formating? I thought the css would always take precedence?

I didn't go through your entire page's CSS. If you have inline code (CSS inside your HTML), then it's possible it's overriding it. Especially if you've got a lot of "dirty code". If you want to post your code here or via PM, I can look through it.
