Are you uploading the photos or linking them from your smug mug site? I use the share menu from my smug site, and I usually use the X2 size.
The photos above are not yet in smug mug. They are dragged and dropped directly from my computer-files (and my CANON EOS 5DS takes 8688 x 5792-files). I haven't used that camera to take all the photos and of course some of them are cropped. But as said: I will be careful in the future.

You might consider creating an unlisted gallery on your site with the purpose of sharing photos. Upload the photos there, then use the share menu to select one of the display sizes to show in dgrin.

Hello Tatiana: Great and I will pay attention to your advice
Hello Denise: Thanks for your advice. I will follow it without any hesitation
And a question from a newbie: How do you make those @-links?
Check the first icon at the bottom of the photos (when you open them as a single images) - the one that looks like a square...

Open the photo in light box on your site then click the share icon. Use the drop down to select the size. Copy the url and use it in the photo link in dgrin.

I am sorry, Tatiana. I am a new newbie and haven't thought about file reduction. I will improve in the future.

It definitely helps a lot - thanks. Now I can see how beautiful they are
BTW: Less images uploaded at once have a better chance to be admired and eventually commented

Hello Tatiana and Denise: It works now. The photo comes from an unlisted galleri on my hompage.
PS. What I actually were wondering about, are those nice looking green links you use, when you start an answer (to me @Jørgen_Bjerring)
Click on the "comments" icon at the bottom of the respective post (second after the "! "icon and delete what is unnecessary...
At least this is what I do...
BTW: I cannot see your photo above - it may be my connection, or you made the gallery private.
BTW 2: Why don't you put your photos in specific galleries???
