Tarcoles River, Costa Rica
I have had the pleasure to take a wildlife tour of the Tarcoles River in Costa Rica. I used a Tameron 200-500mm lens for most of the images, with the exceptions of the close ups of the gators, then I used a Nikon 55-200mm. I really enjoy capturing these amazing creatures! Thanks for looking!
11- A wild Macaw. According to our guide, these birds are rare to find due to so many humans hunting down their nests and stealing the babies to sell.
12- King fisher drying off after the rain passed.
13- A sand bar separates the river from the ocean at this point of the river.

Excellent set. A few birds I have not seen in person yet.
Very nice! #4, #5 and #8 stand out!
Thank you James, Denise, halcon and Stumblebum for your kind comments!
Congratulations on this superb series. Extremely well done!

Thank you Tony. Actually, I was sitting in a boat with no tripod and there was lots of movement of the boat it self. I was pleased that so many turn out so well!
Joyce, are these from 2013?

Yes, that is when I was in Costa Rica last. Why?
Please ignore my question. When I saw the 2013 date on the EXIF, I thought you must have the wrong date on your D300 and was going to suggest you correct the error in your camera. I didn't realize you were posting photos from 3 years ago.

No worries! I wish I could go to Costa Rica again. These were from my second time there. I enjoyed it so much, just thought others might like to see these creatures too!
