70-200 Lens Hood(s)

I have the 70-200 f/4L and I was wondering why the 2.8 versions have a flower shaped lens hood? How come the f/4 doesn't have this same shape? I like the flower shaped one better.:cry

    supposedly the lense hood is to fit the design and arangement of the glass elements inside the lense to give "optimal" flare reflection...

    on that note, its all a load of bull to me:D


    just look for a 67mm hood that you like better.thumb.gif
