Unable to add menu links - red triangle

I'm trying to add another link to my menu. After I choose a page to link to, I see a red triangle next to the title of the "Links" tab, and nothing happens when I click "Done". Can somebody tell me what's going on? I've never had an issue adding links in the past.

Could you describe a bit more what kind of link you're trying to add? I can take a peak if you also provide us a link to your site.

Sure- I'm saying link to "Page I Choose", then I go and select a page. When it returns to the Menu dialog, I see the new link in the list, but there's red triangle indicating an error, and I can't save it.

Site is: http://dberthia.smugmug.com. Trying to add a link to my "2017" page in my "2010's" submenu.

Well I'm baffled. I'm going to pass this along to our Engineering team and see if they can figure out what's going on. It looks like adding any link is causing the error. I'll do my best to get an update for you on Monday, when the team is back in the office.

P.S: For what it's worth, I think you might be able to simplify your menu in the future by using the "Include Sub-Links" option in your sub-level's. For example, instead of having to manually create "2017" inside "2010's", you could just have "2010's" and use the "Include Sub-Links" option and any new gallery added inside 2010's will automatically be added to the menu.

    Stay tuned, we're investigating!

I tried setting the "Include Sub-Links" as you suggested. This also triggers the red triangle error.

There's currently an issue with links that are blank causing the red triangle error. I've updated the link in your menu and the issue has gone away.

You should be able to change to "include sub-links" or add the new link. If you do use the sub-link option, you'll want to delete the individual years from the menu, since they'll be automatically generated

As Aaron mentioned there's a separate issue that caused one of your menu items to get into a weird state, which we manually fixed so you can add the link.

Thanks, guys. Everything seems to be working now, including the sub-links option.

I am having the same issue on my site. I am not seeing any menu items that are blank.

same issue on my site - I have been trying for weeks and all I ever get is this red triangle (also when trying to alter existing menu items..). Is there a "trick" to find out about empty items.. (I have a great many of them..). My site is www.eizoa.com
    Thanks - Roberto

found the problem with the emtpy links - it was menu positions that contained nothing but (hierarchical a step deeper) a set of menus-items leading to real folders or galleries. This had worked for years but obviously no longer... these top level menus I now set to "homepage" - and everything works fine again. Is there a more elegant way to regroup galleries (by any criteria) that are already present in other folders? Cheers - Rob
