Very nice original shots, but the conversion seems to be dark with excessive contrast?

Agree on the contrasty comments, but it doesn't bother me all that much if it is pulled back just a tad. That third shot is the winner in this set. Maybe crop out that bottom 8% with the hanging sunglasses, which is distracting. A totally square crop would make it even better I think.
