Hey Friends,
This time something more advanced - a custom slideshow that will fill your web browser width - edge to edge.

Thanks Tom ... excellent idea

After several years of using the full screen slideshow, I really like the look of this. I've worked with it some and it still doesn't seem to work well with smartphones etc. Any help in this area would be great. Thanks.
I agree with Claudiusmax, I love the look of the slideshow on a regular computer browser, but doesn't play well with mobile devices. a way to make the slideshow width AND height adjust to the size of the viewing screen would be amazing!
Hey everyone,
I have just added few lines of code that allows you to control the size { height } of the slideshow on mobile devices. Go check it out and tell me if that worked for you.
Thank you Tom for the quick reply. I will work on it this afternoon and post a link to what I have done.
I now have it working on my homepage but I haven't checked on mobile devices yet. One issue I am having is that once it loops it will skip the first image, any ideas ? randalloverbyphotography.com/
@claudiusmax you could use trick 17c and repeat the first photo as the last one (if you have different photos just use the code for 6 photos and paste the URL for the first photo also in the field for the last photo).
I suspect that there is a slight delay from the last photo to the first photo which actually makes the first photo come up late in the later loops. I could see it briefly as a "background" on the second photo, but not as long as for the first execution of the loop. Not sure how to fix that (without trick 17c), except with maybe adding some sort of delay somewhere...
@tomnovy cool stuff. Would be even cooler if one could add some sort of title to the photo with links to it in its respective gallery. I'll be thinking about how to do that, might take a while though.
Thank you Lille. > @Lille Ulven said:
Thank you for the info Lille. I will try and work on it some more this week. I was wondering if the different file size of the images may have knocked off the timing ?
You are welcome @claudiusmax
It does not look as if the file sizes would have anything to do with it. My file sizes should be pretty equal, but I still had the "missing" first frame until I figured to add the first frame as the last frame
Good luck!
