My brother and sister in law just came home from the hospital with twins. They are doing very well. Here's one of the pictures I took. Comments welcomed!

Very, very nice shot. clap.gif The sweet little faces are sharp and the soft whiteness surrounding them (with just a hint of the pink and blue) adds to the peaceful mood. Their Mom and Dad must love this picture. Did you use the 50 mm? Blessings on the entire family and may you enjoy many years of photographing the twins!

Thanks for all the great comments everyone! It definitely helped that the babies looked so great (no bias here mwink.gif ). Mom and pop were very proud and glad (it had been a long pregnancy and momma was definitely large!).

The twins are boy and girl (Mathew and Mia). Born on the Jan 11th. They were 7.4 and 7.6 lbs and very healthy.

I took this one with the 50mm f/1.4 set at f/3.5 using ambient lighting at ISO 400. Added a bit of blur in PS around the edges but didn't need to do much thanks to the natural blur with the wide aperture.

    Cheers,

    Erich

Trust me, they wanted the babies last year (think income tax credit!).... I think a little more time in the oven was for the best though.

challenging shot, you nailed both faces well. Congrats on a fine shot,

Have fun photographing the twins. 2 focal points close up makes for a tough shot

You're absolutely right...unfortunately I've got plenty of other shots demonstrating that concept! Thanks for the comment.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Mom and dad are going to use this picture to send out announcements so it's definitely a winner.
