first flowers

The temperature late last week signaled spring, even though the equinox was still more than two weeks away. We returned to winter temperatures over the weekend but I managed to capture some early spring flowers that popped up in the warmth. Happy...
1 :: snowdrops hiding under some bushes (and yes, I did crawl in to get closer!)
2 :: a clump of crocus
3 :: a single crocus
4 :: green leaves signifying a later blooming perennial
I'm looking forward to flower season!

Thanks! I find this time of year to be magical, love seeing flowers pushing up from the winter (lack of color) ground.

Lovely! I wish we were that far along in the season! We still have mounds of snow on our property, that are 6 feet tall!
Thank you.
Ouch! We had snow this winter but it was usually on the low end of the forecast amount, nothing like the crazy snow year of 2015. I'm hoping we don't get more although it really wouldn't surprise me.
