A group of us (including grimace) went on a little field trip to the
Capital and Cathedral.

Here are some of the shots.
Hopefully Adam will throw in a few.

I agree about #2 but did you replace the sky in it. The sky looked pretty grey in the first pic.

    Thanks everyone.

I didn't replace the sky. The Grey sky was taken 9 minutes before the blue sky.
    That's Minnesota for ya.

The four with cameras was part of our group. There were 7 of us total.

    Thanks again folks.

    Great stuff Dave!!

Unfortunately, I was running late (what's new) and didn't have a chance to get any outside shots. Here are a few from inside the State Capitol and the St. Paul Cathedral.

Nice shots from both. Dave - #2 of couse stands out over the others - so crisp and great colors.

Adam - like the steps and the view up the isle of the cathedral.

Great stuff guys. I'm always amazed by the architecture and opulence of many of the state capitol buildings. It really does echo the difference in our generations.

Nice shots Adam, well, except for that last one. eek7.gif

Yes, there are some very nice buildings to shoot in the metro area, and barns in the rural areas.

The Capital and Cathedral are 3 blocks apart. I like it when it's easy.

Yes, I have to agree.. in most cases. I have been to Austin Texas twice.. and I think that the statehouse there is possibly the single most photogenic building I've ever seen. Very wonderful architecture. Looks like MN's is the same. Sadly NH's statehouse doesn't seem to compare. Ours is pretty ugly, comparitively..
