Subdomain pointing to SM gallery

I have my domain pointed to Smugmug, is it also possible to have a subdomain pointing to a gallery?
For example-
If xzy.com points to SM, and I have a gallery there called "bubba",
can I have bubba.xyz.com pointing to the gallery?
Would it point to xyz.com/bubba in the DNS?

You can only have a single domain or subdomain pointing to your SmugMug site.
Your request to use a domain for your smug site and a subdomain for a gallery is not supported.

Actually I just discovered that's wrong. Yes, we CAN have a domain and subdomain pointing to our SM site.
Technically we have to, since the common "www" is itself a subdomain. I have "www.mysite.com" forwarding to "mysite.com" in DNS. Everyone does I'm sure.
So, I tried it by forwarding "mygallery.mysite.com" to "mysite.com/gallery" in DNS. It works perfectly. :-D
