How do I avoid posting a bug that has already been reported?

I have identified and reported 3 problems I'm having to SM help. They have acknowledged that all 3 are known bugs. I want to track the status of these bugs but don't know how. I also want to be sure I'm notified when they're thought to be fixed. How should I proceed?
