ProPhoto to srgb

I am going to start uploading 6000 images that are in LR saved in prophoto color space. I have read it is best to upload to SmugMug as srgb with the plugin. Can this been done while keeping them in prophoto in LR?
If so how?

    on your export settings within the SM publish plugin you can set the export colorspace to sRGB. Your raw files will remain ProPhoto but the JPG's that get uploaded to SmugMug will be sRGB. SmugMug will convert to sRGB if you upload ProPhoto files.

    There's a lot of discussion out there regarding which ColorSpace to edit in and unfortunately most of it is wrong. I'm not sure why Adobe recommends ProPhoto but it's a bad choice considering printers and monitors can't display its colors. Our experience with many many photos has been that it's best to edit in sRGB to ensure your colors will render as you expect on any device. This may change as new color spaces become mainstream but it's looking like that may be the P3 colorspace and not ProPhoto.
