Lightbox problems with mobile devices

Hi, a couple of issues, they might be related,
1) When accessing the lightbox on my iPhone or iPad, I can click through the photos, but I can't get back to the gallery - the x in the upper right hand corner doesn't work. It changes shades when it's clicked on, but nothing else happens. Works fine on a PC.
2) I've made CSS changes to my Galleries and Lightbox which look great on a PC, but the borders that look fine on a PC don't work so well on a phone. what I'd like to do is disable the CSS changes to only the lightbox for mobile devices. The gallery changes work well enough.
Any help sorting this out would be most appreciated. Thanks.

This is a general idea on how to do this. Adjust the 799px to suit and replace the /* stuff here */ with the code you are using for the lightbox.

@media only screen and (min-width: 799px) {

    /* stuff here */

}

Thanks, but it still looks and works like crap. Does the lightbox work well for anyone on an iphone? Is there a way to just disable it completely for mobile? It's just worthless. Much better off just scrolling through the gallery photos.
