Most here have probably not been at a Mejican fiesta.

Mojigangas show up during fiestas and cavort and dance with those celebrating.

They do outrageous stuff (one bent over and kissed me once).

The character is left to the imagination of the Mojiganga builder and they vary in different towns.

In spite of the legs under the characters it is the man standing in front of them that really gives this a sense of scale, amazing.

Interesting. We have something similar in Madrid during the San Isidro fiesta. They are usually built to conceal the legs, though, and they can resemble folkloric characters and even known politicians. Now that's sacry.
