This past Sunday I headed out with a group of FM'ers to San Francisco Zoo for a short photo shoot. I just sold my telephoto lens so I was using my friend's 70-200, and got the chance to test out a 300mm f/4 (very nice!).

Enjoy!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Thanks,

I was not sure how to crop the Hippo so I just left it as I captured. This was really my first time going to the zoo in years and didn't know what to expect, the 200mm worked great but in some cases I might have been better with a 300mm.

Nice seriesthumb.gif I've been to the SF zoo before and it was a blast. Only wish I didn't live 2 hours away so I could go more often.

It was actually funny, my friend brought up the idea about the zoo and I haven't been since the remodeling. The last time I was there the zoo was really run down, lots of empty cages and overall not kept up feeling. Now the zoo is really clean and very nice, the best zoo that I ever been to. I actually live about an hour from the zoo but it's worth the trip every once in a while.

If any one is interested I'll post the next photo trip here on Dgrin as well.

    Thanks,
