Im sure i already no the answer to this but can Facebook pixel tracking be used with a smug site ? i'm guessing its going to be a no. With facebook being such a major platform for advertising, not being able to use it correctly is a big negative..

I've never heard of Facebook Pixel, so I Googled it. Looks like they use Javascript to do the tracking and SmugMug doesn't support Javascript.
So that would be a no.

yep thats what i was thinking when i asked the question. Was wishful thinking....
The old conversion tracking pixel was better than the new one. It also required java, although I've heard a rumor that they are working on an html version for the business accounts.

hope so, would be good to be able to track my adverts correctly..
I did a quick search on the developer for facebook page and found this:
"You should use a the full JavaScript code for Facebook Pixel for the best experience. In some cases, you could use an HTML or an image pixel then add another 3rd-party tag from your website."
I couldn't find the html version with my limited time, but if you spend some time searching you may find it, or maybe write to the developers and see if they have finally written the html code.

Pixels are used for remarketing (those ads that follow you around after you visit a website). Critical and basic for today's online marketing. I'm going to have to create a secondary site that leads into my SM site to pull it off.
