Istock watermark. Can we replicate with personal touches. You click on one of their pic & after 2sec watermark appears covering most of pic. Yet not obtrusive.

All of the iStock photos that I just looked at show with a watermark as soon as it is opened in the larger size. The smaller sizes are not watermarked.

To me a watermark that covers most of the picture is a signal to close the site. That's personal preference of course, and I think the type of photography business you are in can dictate the use of a watermark that covers the photo.

Assuming you have either a Portfolio or Business account on SmugMug (since those are the account levels that support watermarks):

You can specify the size photos on your smug site that are watermarked.
You can control the opacity of the watermark.
It is possible to tile the watermark on your image.

If you have specified a watermark on a photo there isn't a way to delay showing the watermark. The image is either watermarked or not watermarked depending on your settings.
