Hiding the scroll-bar on the carousel

I've re-designed my site and for the first time have used the carousel. .
My question is - Is there a way to hide the scroll-bar at the bottom of carousel?
SmugMug Heroes pointed me to - http://www.aaronmphotography.com/Customizations/Carousel. But the killer comment in that resource is - "This won't work in Firefox though, since they don't support it."
Wondering if anyone knows anything else on this subject.

I may have found an answer. I changed the overflow-x on the scroll item from auto to hidden in my site css:
.sm-component-carousel-scroll { overflow-x: hidden !important;}Seems to be working so far... if I have problems, I'll post them.
