Desktop vs Mobile layout

Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before - I have looked here:

http://www.aaronmphotography.com/Customizations/Sitewide/Screen-Width-Customizations

but as great as Aaron Meyers' customisations are (and thank you for them), I'm afraid my HTML knowledge is so poor I don't really know how to interpret this for my needs.

My issue is that the full width photos on one of my pages such as:

http://www.musicalpictures.co.uk/Live

look great on desktop and dreadful on mobile.

The three photos are actually one full width photo made to look like three. They are in a slideshow. I set fixed height of 400px since auto height produced very weird results. The slideshow is supposed to be a 100% container width on a stretchy layout - though on my 27" monitor, the pictures don't reach the edge of the screen. I don't really understand why, but it doesn't concern me too much. What does bother me is the cavernous white space around the pictures on a mobile device.

Is there a way to (ideally) make the padding work correctly on a mobile, or (alternatively) just inhibit the display of the slideshow completely on a mobile? I'd greatly prefer the former option if at all possible.

Any help would be very gratefully received.

Many thanks

Simon
