Problem linking to photos in unlisted gallery

I'm having a problem linking to photos in an unlisted gallery. When I go to a certain photo in the gallery and click the share button, I get a link such as this one: https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-xxxxx/i-yyyyyyyy/A

But when someone uses that link, Smugmug strips off the end of the link, changing it to just https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-xxxxx, and the link ends up going to the default gallery view. I can't seem to find a way to get the link to an individual photo in the gallery to work.

I'm not sure, but I'm suspicious of one of your settings. Not sure if that is causing the problem but it's worth flipping the setting to see if the behavior changes.

If you get a link with the URL starting with www.smugmug.com instead of your smug URL or custom domain name then you have set HIDE OWNER on that gallery to ON. Try changing the setting of HIDE OWNER to OFF.

Hide Owner will remove the nickname from your URL and make it completely SmugMug.
Your custom Banner will be replaced with the SmugMug banner. This will also remove all customization on the page.
Links to your homepage won't appear, only the gallery name will.
The watermarking feature won't be available while hide owner is active.

Yes, the Hide Owner setting is on. If I turn it off, links to photos work. I need to have Hide Owner on, though. So I guess my question is: do direct links to photos in unlisted galleries that have owner hidden work? I would think that they should, because Smugmug provides a link. The link just doesn't work.

I checked this out and found that if you hide owner, sure enough using the Photo Link, it does send you to the gallery instead of the image.

However, if you use Embed Photo and choose your size, the link will open as the image.
