Ken Rockwell and the Aliens

So I'm looking up the definition of "bokeh" when I stumble across the site of professional photographer Ken Rockwell It has a great deal of interesting and informative stuff.

And I'm checking out his gallery of New Mexico.

And I feel like I drop off the end of the rational world. Here are his notes.

Aliens from other worlds regularly visited our planet and interacted with both primitive and European peoples from about 900 through 1200 AD.

In Europe the "little people" (the Aliens) were referred to both as the Leprechauns of Ireland and "der Kleine blaumenschen" (little blue people) in Germany, gave Europeans the first technology to bring us out of the dark ages.

Due to the great technological level of the Europeans 1,000 years ago the Aliens decided not to base their space operations in Europe. The Aliens did not wish share this technology with Earth and realized that the European intelligencia would catch on quickly.

Aliens therefore based their space operations in the Americas, since these primitive peoples were not likely to comprehend any of the technology. The peoples of ancient America instead mistook the aliens for Gods. Much Indian folklore is based on interaction with these "People of the Sky."

The ruins we see today are relics of these Alien space operations. We don't know for sure, however these structures are believed by modern researchers to be either launch structures or navigational aides.

Aliens visited most of the earth in this period. Most cultures have records of an early diminutive and mischievous people. For instance, in Hawaii they were referred to as the Menehune.

Then he shoots the interior of a structure. More "unusual" notes.

This area was the key control area used for managing Alien Earth-based space operations about 1,000 years ago.

Many of today's misguided researchers still clinging to the Indian Kiva myth incorrectly presume that these areas were used by the Indians for ceremonies. It is these researchers who have "de-stored" (destroyed in the process of restoring) these ruins into their current Indian motif. In fact, even though the Indians brought snacks to the Aliens on occasion, these were the most secure areas of Alien operations and the Indians were kept away.

The Indian word "kiva" indeed comes from the Alien words for "Command and Control Area."

So I'm gonna guess that ol' Ken is pulling my leg. I think. :huh

In another part of Kens site he does say
Most of the hard work here, just like for most of the creative work done on computers for photography, art and the Internet in general, is done on an Apple Macintosh computer. If I was still farting around on a Windows PC I'd probably still have a dumpy looking site if any at all.
He's probably just Thinking Differently. Some of what he says on the site does make sense in an individualistic sort of way.

Yeah, I don't really get the Mac bit. But then, I've never had one. However, the Macs at work seem to freeze up without any problem. ne_nau.gif

Ok I understand the word google comes from the way the grays seem to stare at everything with those big black eyes. Meaning "look / seek", and the spider refers to the very tall skinny race that commands the grays, but how does that translate to our computer world?

Or how and / or why would one google spider?

Spider (lamens terms) = a software program designed to query (that means search) documents (web pages are html (hyper-text mark-up language) documents), find all of the information in them, categorize it, store it, and index it, making it easier for people to find useless things online.

Google spider for example is actually called googlebot (and no googlebot will not give you better ranking if you send it vodka (wasted that bottle)). Think of the main database of googlebot as the body of the spider. The legs are the data bits and streams it sends out to read, categorize, and memorize webpage locations, the webpages it categorizes and put in its results are part of its web. Googlebot (and all spiders for that matter) are getting pickier and pickier these days. Very hard to get good search engine rankings for most websites. At least if you wanna come up with top ten rankings for generic search terms. Websites are optimized to be read by these spiders. But as each spider gets pickier you have to almost create seperate sites for each spider as optimizing for one spider could kill you in another spider. For example:

    go to google
type in the search box: industrial contracting

the first result that pops up is for www.leecontracting.com

Notice this result is not called a sponsored link (that is covered to the right of the page) or in any advertising. This is not a paid for position instead it is a natural positing for this website. The number one position for this search term, on the number search engine. A highly coveted position that many people want and only few can achieve. In this case only one can achieve. This page is there because all the various things googlebot craves are their on the page, A proper title, discription, keywords, content in the document, etc, etc, etc.

And you thought spiders where what crawled all over you in the middle of the night. I tired to make this easy to understand sorry if it's not but I spend 8 hours a day submersed in this stuff at the utmost technical end of it. That number one coveted position for leecontracting.com was achieved by me afterall. It's crazy though i get them 5 number one rankings 15 top 5 rankings and a bunch more top 10 rankings and they still think that I have nothing but free time all day long. Hmph, like all I have to do to get those kinda results is send an email to the search engine asking for it.

Then they're not being taken care of. Even Macs need a little TLC.

Waxy, I reboot my Mac once a month whether it needs it or not! Otherwise I just put it to sleep when I am not using it.

Freeze up?? That's what water does in the winter time isn't it? :D

I'd forgotten about this thread - You're peacefully reading along in Rockwell's blogs and all of a sudden, before you know it, you segue into the twilight zone. eek7.gifthumb.gif

As for those who believe in the little green, blue, or grey guys, well.... ne_nau.gif Some people are just nutballs. eek7.gif "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

But what matters here most is that Ken can take a camera and make it do magic circles around most other mortals. Been to his site before, and just a whole series of "wows" and "ooohhs" followed. Yup, they guy is just plain good with the entire image making process from start to finish.

Hey Sam, I'm confused too. The spiders like it that way, that's how they keep control, though deception and misdirection. Mulder got close, and look where it landed him. Best not to talk about such things in the open... :uhoh
