This is a shot taken of an outbuilding at the old Magpie Mine in Sheldon, Derbyshire. An area that always seems to be very windy, cold and this morning it was quite wet too.
The mine, as with many in Derbyshire has many ghost stories told about it and currently it is undergoing renovation by a voluntary group. There is the main shaft and winding gear and one or two towers. It was a former lead mine.

Killer shot! Stuff of dreams!
Wonderful, the framing of the tree in the wind adds a lot to the image.

Thanks for all the kind words, really appreciated.
The tree seen in the window is the only one for a hundred yards or so. If you had wanted to plant a tree especially for a photo, what better place could you put it. Mother nature at her very best.
