File system integration

Can we get a file system integration. I want to be able to have designated folder on my Mac which syncs automatically with smug mug. That way when I plug in my camera, I can just drag and drop pictures into that folder. The current Mac app does not allow that, it's basically just an uploader. If you read reviews on the app, other people want this feature as well.

Historically SmugMug uploading and sychronization tools have come from 3rd party developers. But after the perpetually-in-beta API 2.0 was rolled out, developer interest seems to have evaporated.

Andy Hawkins wrote a simple Python library for talking to SmugMug's 2.0 API, and wrote a dropbox-like synchronization tool in Python. But it's all rather hackish at the moment and would benefit from additional developer help. (I'm working right now on adding enhancements to the library.)

    Andy's tools are on github:
    https://github.com/adhawkins/smugmugv2py
    https://github.com/adhawkins/pysmugmugsync

If someone could demonstrate an actual interest, I could be compelled to write a library in a different language (e.g., C++ or Go), but I don't think the language is the barrier.

SmugMug already has its own software uploader for MacOS, they just need to introduce autosynching and file system integration. I try to stay away from 3rd party developers for various reasons unless I work on Linux and or it's open software.
From what I see in here thou, this topic has not gotten much traction.
