Did Smug turn off "comments" being seen by the public? On my site I only see them when logged in.

Also, not one comment has any date?

Allen, It looks like the source of your comments in the guest book page is coming from a gallery that is private. Private is for your eyes only and that includes the comments. I don't want to reveal the link here in a public forum but email us if you need it.

The comments were brought over from the old Smug Guestbook. Plus a couple were added on NewSmug.
    How would "private" apply?

The new Guestbook is using a "page".
Just found an old version of my guestbook that was using a gallery page. It was set to private. Changed it to unlisted and the comments now show. Is there anyway to transfer the comments to the new guestbook "page" so I can delete the old "gallery"? It is now using a page.
Old gallery not needed anymore except I guess for comments.

Allen, The comments go with the gallery and I am not aware of any way to transfer them. The gallery you found was the one I was referring to.

Wasn't there a tool to transfer the comments at one point early in the new smug days?

There isn't a tool to accomplish a "move", but you can drag and drop a Comments content block to the new Page within the Customizer and then select the source as the Gallery that contains the comments. This will allow the comments to display on the Page. Note: don't delete the Gallery though as the comments will then disappear. They are appearing "virtually" with this method.
