Hierarchy of Folders

The hierarchy of my folders is wrong and I don't know how to change it.
The URL has one folder within another. Can I change the url or just delete the folder

You can move folders in the Organizer.
You can also delete folders, again in the Organizer.

From the help page What are folders and hierarchy?:

You can drag and drop in the Organizer, using the left-side navigation tree, to arrange Folders, Galleries, and Pages within your site.

I tried dragging and it wouldn't work because the url was the problem. So I deleted and created new folders with the correct url. Thanks for your response .

Can I change the identifier of each picture once it is uploaded into Smugmug, i.e. 0707.jpg

No. The file name is taken from the uploaded file.
