Filmstrip for home page

At the present time i have three photos displaying across my homepage. I would like to change this block to a filmstrip - keeping it elegant and simple. I have looked around but have not yet found code for this. Any kind assistance is most appreciated !

(Note that the thread is from 2014, I'm assuming that the code still works.)

This is for a gallery as opposed to the homepage but it may be a start for you.

thanks i saw that - however - it's too finicky across platforms and devices - and yes, it's for galleries. . . .
