Differences between "Album" and "System Album" ?

I'm working on the node walker (recursive descent) in the v2 Python library. Are there any differences between node type "Album" and "System Album" that I should watch out for? They look to me to be identical except for the node type name.

    While I can't comment on the API differences, system galleries (called albums in the API) are galleries that are automatically created by the site if you use certain features. They are for the logged in user only. The user can't delete or rename them, but he may add photos to them. So I would assume that via the API they also have limited functionality.
