Maximum Display Size : Original, but once uploads are bigger than exported

Normally I export photos to 1000 px short side size.
On the desktop is ok but on the web brouser are bigger with relative loss of detail, contrast etc.

Tthe image exported by Lightroom has the right dimension and is smaller than in the web browsers in Windows.
