Hi Y'all,

My last turtle post (yeah it wasn't a great shot but I found it funny) elicited some responses seemingly to call for bird shots like so

but I'm not a one trick pony. I do shoot other stuff

I'm a photographer. I am not a bird photographer

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Harry,

I know my eyes are not that good..but those don't look like birds to me. :uhoh

Some nice shots. I get that a lot also. I shoot other things and not just birds. So what if every 999 out of 1,000 shots is a bird....I still shoot other stuff. :D

Thanks Laurie. That subway shot was with my old favorite the Sony-717. That was one fine camera.

Oh those NY years. I was up in NYC last week and hated every minute of it. I'm hooked on clean air and sun now.

What!!! No feathers!!! Oh, the humanity!

I love shooting wildlife and I have so much of it to shoot around here. I wouldn't be getting decent results on my wildlife shooting if I hadn't done some preparation first.

Yikes, well, what can you all do to me? So here goes..........

Uh, love the photos, but I sure liked them better when they didn't have that thing around them with the exif and all. I mean the exif is interesting, but I think the way it is presented detracts from my enjoyment of your wonderful wildlife shots!

Is it a Nikon thing? I do see that the California crew, or one of them at least, he is doing it too.

I like your work that you did while you were preparing for the real stuff in Florida, you know, the rest of your life.

And, of course, your bird shots are wonderful, and that first is one of my favorites, but I can't hold my thoughts on that border in anymore.

    love ya,

Glad you raised that point. I apply that script for one reason and thats to give the viewers here basic info on the shot like camera model, lens used, ISO, focal length, shuuter speed, aperture setting, EV adjustment, and flash info. Its not designed to enhance the photo but to easily provide info on how the shot was taken.

Normally the only time i want to see a frame is when its hanging on my wall. I absolutely hate software framing of pictures! Its a nice gimmick but not photography. If I want to see frames I'll go into a store.

Thaks for the kind words and the opportunity to rant about frames.

Even though I'll be in NYC next week, I like don't like it as well. It takes a photographer, like you, to make beautiful sense out of the chaos of the city. The green benches photo is outstanding. Thanks.

    Hey Dallas,

I was in NYC last week and hated every minute of it. I'm used to sunlight, clean air, and a more congenial pace now.

    Thanks for the kind words.
