feedback on loading speed of my site (not yet finished!)

Hi all!
I've been working on my new site last days, and for now the main structure is ready. It would be nice if you visited it, telling me if you notice slow uploading (especially the full screen slideshow), and you also told me how many megabits you have.
Again: The site is by no means finished, I just need a feedback about speed. Thank you!

I have a pretty fast internet connection at 75Mbps.

Your site does show a lag in presenting the background photo on your home page. It also shows paging through the items on your page to reach the requested section of the site. I don't think that showing scrolling up and down when a menu item is selected is a reasonable presentation - I don't need to see the scrolling, I just want to see the page I selected.
