Bagpipes and drums.

My daughter with a portrait of my daughter, etc.

Agave.

Criticism is always welcome.

Love the agave... the color and the repetitive pattern are wonderful.

    I agree.
Was #2 done with mirrors or in post?

Denise, Richard, thanks. Number two was done in post. She was holding a gray card for me before we started taking family photos. Because she thought it was just a test shot, I got a genuine expression. But I didn't want the gray card and this seemed to be a way to eliminate it.

Nice "deceptive" idea with the grey card, gotta try that one day too. The result is fantastic. As for the agave, I also agree with Denise on the patterns and the color. Although, I'd really love to see this one in B&W as well, as I think it makes a good B&W subject with all that lines and patterns in it.

Thanks, kurzvorzwoelf. I was thinking black and white when I took it. Both work but differently.

Thanks, Taz. This is almost certainly the most photogenic variety of agave.

Nice shots, Don, especially the agave. The green version is great, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bw version!

For me, what works well with the agave, is the pattern made by the alternation of dark and light zones , that is the light is gorgeous, not exactly the shape. So the bw version is better, for this reason.

Thanks for the comments. The color version was an afterthought. I thought color tended to be better received here, but I think it's stronger in black and white.
