Before I ask a dumb question I would like to first say how much I really enjoy and use Smugmug to display and distribute my photos. Thanks very much.

Now my dumb question, which I am sure is answered somewhere and somehow but I just cannot find it. Is there support of smugmug for a wordpress blog. That is can one have a blog on their smugmug site powered by the wordpress software. I know that there is a place where one can read blogs containing information and news, but I would like to have my own blog with my own photos contained in it -- specifically a photo blog.

Thanks for your help and your time. I hope that I haven't wasted too much of either on this question, but it is important to me.

Smugmug does not offer blogs for their customers. You can, however, sign up for a blog at one of the free blog sites like Google's blogger and then simply include pictures in your blog that are on your smugmug site. That should accomplish what you want.

    Hi Eugene :)

Smugmug does not support Wordpress blogs; however, some of us have set up a Smugmug Photo Blog Alliance, which you can read about here:

If you have any questions, Anton or one of us can help you out if you'd like to join.

You can have photos on your Wordpress blog, from your SmugMug site.

I tied my blog (http://blog.antonspaans.com) to my smugmug site (http://www.streetsofboston.com). They have a similar header and a somewhat similar color scheme.

My blog is a wordpress.org installation. It has a nice feature that it can import RSS feeds as blog-posts. Whenever i have added/updated photos and/or galleries, i execute the PHP-script that implements this feature (by simply clicking a link on my blog.... btw: only i can see and click this link :D ) and a bunch of blog-posts are generated that describe the smugmug-updates... very very kewl of wordpress! The PHP-script is in ./wp-admin/import-rss.php and must be tied to a smugmug RSS-feed.
I can't grasp the notion of time.

When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
    in two billion years,
    all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"

I use the free site Blogger.com and tied it to my smugmug site through a link in my header.

    http://www.trishtunney.com

I post my pictures with Hello or Picassa, which are also free. And sometimes I just link directly to smugmug.

    cheers,
    Trish
