How can I move the sidebar below my banner and nav bar?

I want a left sidebar whose top starts below my banner/logo and full-width Nav Bar. Is there CSS or some other code you could suggest for achieving this?
Also, how do I combine text blocks and vertical Nav Bar in the sidebar? If I place text, the interface won't let me add a Nav Bar. If I add a Nav Bar, it won't let me add Text
Thanks, Sally

I assume you want the left menu on your Entire Site. When your in the customizer, you'll see LAYOUT on the far right. Click on that and you'll see SIDEBARS on the very bottom. Click left and you can leave the default width for now, or change it if you want.
Now you can add blocks to the left sidebar. You can add anything in the sidebar, including Menus and Text Blocks. I prefer HTML over Text blocks because you have more control of formatting, but I'm all about control...lol!

Unrelated but if you have a banner on your 'pixel.smugmug.com' site, it isn't showing. All I see is a space where a image should be. Make sure that gallery isn't private. It can be unlisted though.

Yes, thank you. I fixed after waking up in the middle of the night, realizing what was wrong.
