Images displayed as full width in gallery?

Hello everybody
is there the possibility to display images of a selected gallery (not all) as full width (and possibly not as slideshow)??
I've been looking around in help pages but I couldn't find anything on this issue

I think the closest you can come to a full width display of photos in a selected gallery is to set the gallery style to Journal.

but that's quite different from a full width layout; and in addition, I never liked the Journal mode.
Hope one of CSS wizards pops in with a magic solution
