Adding photos to a new gallery which I would like to display in Journal. Can't figure out how to align them Centered as well as add some space between the images. Don't want to add more images until I figure this part out haha https://creativeoutbursts.smugmug.com/Outbursts/Splash/n-CtQ53D/

I believe that Journal galleries by default show the images as centered. That's the case on all Journal style galleries on my site. Here's an example - http://www.denisegoldberg.com/Medley/galleries-by-date/n-GzNHG/.
I'm guessing that you have some CSS on your site that is pinning your galleries to the left side of the browser window. When I use the Web Developer inspector and click on the photo in your gallery, I see this CSS on your site:
When I go through the same exercise on my site this code is not present.

Thank you for your reply. Don't remember ever adding anything to achieve left align and I'm not finding the code that you shared (although I admit not being well versed in editing this stuff haha). In Customize Site I am clicking on Content - CSS but not finding that
It's more than possible that you don't have CSS to align to the left on your site but it seems odd to me that your folders and galleries seem to be pinned to the left of the screen. I'm not sure where that would be set.
If you added CSS to your theme you can find it by
Another place to check is the Layout entry, just to the right of Theme when you are customizing your site. Check the settings there as well.

Hmmm....I get to that spot and just see "Enter Code Here...."
Then you didn't place any CSS there. It's possible there is a CSS content block somewhere but you would have had to explicitly add it.
I wonder if it would be worth contacting the help desk to ask about the left-orientation of your gallery.

Thanks, I will try contacting them. Any advice on how to add some space between images vertically?
My guess is that the two problems are related.

Indeed, they were. Thanks again for your time
Can you share the solution to the problem?

Apparently I had custom CSS in content block under Entire Site in Customizer (I emailed a Hero, as you suggested). They "fixed it"....unfortunately, the white border that was around the images is now gone.
