Not really but the temperments sure are. We have the habituated Buckeye Ocean bunch and the super wary hoards out at the Fish Hatchery. I chose the later for human saftey reasons. When they all spooked they looked in need of air traffic control:D Had fun anyway and it was very good practice. These are way cropped, but at least in focus I think. Comments (critique) always welcome.

Busy background but I rather liked it:dunno

Did quite a bit of moving real slow, then stopping for a bit to get this close, which isn't close.

There's something about the first one that I really like. It's a tad dark, the background is kinda busy, but I like it anyway!

Thanks Steve! Rather glad to know I'm not completely nuts since everything you said was wrong IS wrong, but I still like it too. Don said the same thing when he saw it.

nice shots, Thusie ! I agree with the problems in #1, maybe play around a little in PS to imrpove. I like the 2nd one too - nice little wing action there - did you want that, or he took you by surprise with a ower shutter speed?! It's so difficult to see these folks' eyes in that dark head, I'd love to see 'em !

Thanks Vandana..Did work on the first one in CS2 to the best of my ability,(not saying much there) the white in the geese would blow out.

I was expecting the takeoff, shutter was at 1/500 which with the TC was pretty much it without taking the ISO up to 800, pretty gloomy day. That said I wondered if I focused too lowne_nau.gif maybe. BUT considering I miss 95% of those shots was happy as heck it wasn't a blurred mess. It's a struggleumph.gif

[Nice job on those shots. The background sucks on the first shot but there's nothing you can do about that now. You still did a good job to get the geese to stand out against a very, very difficult background. You could have used a faster shutter speed on the second shot but its still a good capture. thumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Harry. One needs to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time, I'm working on that:D
